Community Consulting Teams
ABSA works with Community Consulting Teams to help nonprofits. CCT Atlanta was founded in 1995 as a nonprofit, connecting Atlanta-based nonprofit organizations with passionate, skilled, business-oriented volunteers. Since then, we have completed nearly 400 projects creating improvement recommendations, including, for example, client’s plans for: strategy, marketing (growth and fundraising) and operations.
CCT strives to amplify the impact of Atlanta-area nonprofits by providing pro-bono management consulting services delivered by volunteer teams committed to giving back to their community.
We are a 100% volunteer organization.

CCT clients go through a multi-step vetting process and their issue-driven projects are only staffed, when enough volunteers select to work on the client’s objective for improvement.

CCT conducts both spring and fall sessions, each 10 weeks in duration. We assess volunteer applications received approximately 6 weeks prior to the session kickoff (mid-March and mid-September). You should plan on spending 4-6 hours per week working with the nonprofit client and your CCT Volunteer team headed by a seasoned project lead. Your team is supported by a working board of 9 functional directors, and their advisors and members.

Habitat for Humanity
ABSA has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to help build homes. Founded in 1973 in Americus, GA, this nonprofit helps families build and improve places to call home. The organization believes affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
The idea that became Habitat for Humanity first grew from the fertile soil of Koinonia Farm, a community farm outside of Americus, Georgia, founded by farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan.
On the farm, Jordan and Habitat’s eventual founders Millard and Linda Fuller developed the concept of “partnership housing.” The concept centered on those in need of adequate shelter working side by side with volunteers to build decent, affordable houses. The houses would be built at no profit. New homeowners’ house payments would be combined with no-interest loans provided by supporters and money earned by fundraising to create “The Fund for Humanity,” which would then be used to build more homes.

Junior Achievement of Georgia
Groups of ABSA alumni have been donating a full day at the Atlant JA Discovery Center.
“JA Georgia prepares today’s students for tomorrow’s economy.” It has been primarily helping middle school student and more recently high schoolers. According to JA Georgia, nearly half of all Georgia middle school students are impacted by JA Discovery Centers.
While JA has various programs in which to help, ABSA has gravitated to “JA Discovery Day” for middle schoolers. This group mentoring environment of 10 kids per mentor is a 6 hours WOW event encompassing about 20 teams totaling close to 200 kids. It’s well organized, stimulating, fun, and rewarding for mentors and mentees. ABSA mentors guide each group as they develop a business plan, which the kids start working on weeks before back at their school.
ABSA’s September 2025 experience
Our September 9th day of volunteering in downtown Atlanta included a group of 15 alumni from 12 ABSA clubs.
